 This group is for anyone interested in improving his life and having the best college experience possible. The answer is Sigma Chi. Becoming a part of this exclusive brotherhood will ensure that you make the most of your time here at the U. We boast a high GPA, many championships in athletics, and the best reputation on campus. We even had one of our brothers, Brandon Gross, leading the university as the Student Body President for 08-09.
Our leadership of this school, however, is not limited to just our members. The ΣΧ house here on campus is second to none, and our parties are well known to be the best at the "U". Let’s face it, if you don’t have a house you might as well be a club. If you want to join a Fraternity and truly enhance your college experience, then Sigma Chi is the place for you. We hold many social events with the beautiful sorority girls of Miami including volleyball tournaments on our court, mixers, date functions, and beach days. With parties, tailgates, intramurals, Derby Days, formals, events with sororities, and much more, Sigma Chi is for you.
As the Sigma Chi Fraternity goes beyond 150 years, we stand among the largest and oldest Greek letter societies. Currently Sigma Chi has over 260,000 active brothers in 226 chapters across the United States and Canada. Our chapter has been on campus longer than any other fraternity at UM and will be here for years to come. The connections you make through Sigma Chi will not only endure through college, but throughout the rest of your life.
We also have one of the oldest traditions at Miami. At football games, the brothers of ΣΧ are down on the field with our cannon, “Touchdown Tommy”, shooting it off every time the Canes score.
